چکیده

Microbridges and dc-SQUIDS were fabricated in lift-off technique from rf sputtered YBaCuO films on MgO single crystal substrates. Microwave measurements at 9GHz on microbridges and the magnetic field dependence of their critical current reveal wide bridge behavior up to temperatures near the maximum operating temperature of the bridge. Mostly a linear dependence of the critical current on the temperature is found, which is connected to high intrinsic l/f-noise if the bridge is constant current biased slightly above the critical current. In some bridges and dc-SQUIDS regimes with a temperature dependence proportional to (1TIT )I.' are found. In this case the l/f noise level i s muck smaller and SQUID modulation can be follswed to about 65K.

The electrical behavior of superconducting thin-film microbridges self-heating and superconducting quantum processes

2014 Measurements of the I-V curves of superconducting thin-film microbridges are reported and used to infer some new results regarding the electrical behavior of these devices. At temperatures well below Tc their behavior is found to be dominated by the effects of self-heating. At low voltages near Tc where heating is not important, it is found that the observed behavior is best understood in ...

Investigation and Application of Ultrafast Photoresponse of YBa2Cu3O7−δ Microbridges Excited by High Fluence Optical Pulses

Ultrafast photoresponse of dc-biased optically-thick YBa2Cu3O7−δ microbridges at T < Tc triggered with 100 fs optical pulses of high fluence was investigated by means of sampling oscilloscope and approach of a S-(1.5– 4 GHz) & C-(4–7 GHz) frequency-band antenna radiation, excited by the photoresponse. A superposition of ultrafast(photokinetic) and slow(bolometric) components of the photorespons...

Fabrication of Ordered Two-Dimensional Arrays of Micro- and Nanoparticles Using Patterned Self-Assembled Monolayers as Templates

lar substrate is tricky, since the spin-coating solution does not wet the substrate and flies off the rotating surface. Since the OTS pattern after the lift-off technique is the inverse of the originally stamped ODT pattern, the sample in Figure 1d features macroscopically an oxide surface with printed OTS stripes on a micrometer lateral scale. Beyond the specific advantages of our technique, s...

Lift-off effect in high-frequency eddy current conductivity spectroscopy

Precision eddy current measurements have been shown to be capable of characterizing the near-surface residual stress and cold work profiles in surface-treated components. To capture the peak compressive residual stress in moderately shot-peened (Almen 4–8A) nickel-base superalloys, the eddy current inspection frequency has to be as high as 50–80MHz. Unfortunately, spurious selfand straycapacita...
